Programme for the Second Recital in the Sixteenth Series of the Organ Music Society at Saint John's, Red Lion Square, London. Performance by Andre Marchal of works by various composers, including improvisation in the form of a symphony. For this, four English composers, including Britten, submitted one-line themes which Marchal then improvised upon. [First performance of the Britten theme]. Includes a printed score of the themes, a description of the organ in the church, an advertisement for Boosey and Hawkes music, and a note of future recitals in the series. Programme cost 6 pence.
